The Phenomenon

The Color-Change
Phenomenon

Alexandrite performs a feat of light no other gemstone can match. Its chromium-rich crystal lattice absorbs and re-emits wavelengths differently under each illuminant — vivid emerald under daylight, deep ruby under candlelight.

Our Alexandrite is sourced from precision-engineered chrysoberyl crystal — the same advanced optical material developed for U.S. defense and aerospace systems. Unmatched clarity, saturation, and a complete color shift no conventional stone can match.

Strike with
Precision.

The heron doesn't strike twice. Neither do we. Our hexagonal cut is engineered around six-fold symmetry — the geometry that maximizes Alexandrite's chromatic shift across the full visible spectrum.

Each facet angle is calibrated to channel light through the stone's chromium lattice, producing the most vivid color transition achievable in a cut gemstone. Crown, star, and pavilion facets work in concert — every face throwing a different hue.

Crystal Sourcing

Our Alexandrite crystal is sourced from a U.S. supplier of advanced optical materials — the same precision chrysoberyl used in aerospace and defense systems. Every stone is selected for maximum color saturation and shift intensity.

Hex Cutting

Our master lapidaries cut each stone to hexagonal specification using proprietary faceting angles — calibrated to maximize the color-change phenomenon unique to Alexandrite's crystal structure.

Light Calibration

Each piece is tested across seven color temperatures — from 2700K candlelight to 6500K daylight — to certify the complete green-to-ruby spectrum of its color change.

The Heron Strikes
Where Light Bends.

The great blue heron hunts at the threshold — where water refracts light, where patience becomes precision, where stillness becomes a single, perfect strike. It is a creature defined by rarity, grace, and the interplay of light and color.

We chose the heron because it embodies what we pursue in every stone we cut. Alexandrite does not merely reflect — it responds. Green in daylight. Ruby by candlelight. A different stone in every room you enter.

Heron Collection exists for people who move between worlds — who understand that rarity is not about scarcity, but about what cannot be replicated. No two moments of light are the same. Neither is the stone that captures them.
